We have drawn our LIFE and BEING from Consciousness. This is the perfect Consciousness of Loving Intelligence and Intelligent Love. IT is IMPULSES. These IMPULSES are the very basic energy, the MAINSPRING of all existence. This Consciousness is indeed within us, surrounds us, transcends us and can lift us in ever higher strata of spiritual ecstasy and ephemeral perception. This Consciousness is what many call "God," "Allah," "Jehovah," "Infinite Intelligence," "Divine Mind" or "Divine Consciousness," or the "Tao." All these names mean the SOURCE of BEING-the CREATIVE ORIGINS. It is within us and transcends us. But what humankind must fully realize is: that It is of such a high frequency of vibration-so spiritually refined in meaning-that It cannot be drawn into our own human consciousness to make Itself known to us, until we begin to transcend the humanhood and ascend in spiritual perception of Truth. The humanhood is the barrier to Superconsciousness. Only the most systematic and persistent daily attempt to cleanse our human consciousness of negative thoughts and negative behavior, will make it possible for Consciousness to SEEP into our human consciousness bringing us new insight and perceptions. Illumined by new insight and perceptions-our thoughts, words and actions will begin to change. When we SEE things differently, we will begin to ACT differently. Our human consciousness is imperfect. It is fabricated out of selfish egotistical drives. Let not the humanhood resist this valid statement. We are in no way to be blamed for this, because the humanhood is Divinely created in order for Consciousness to separate Itself into individual people. We need our humanhood. It defends us and it draws to us what we need to survive, BUT the humanhood can overwhelmingly force us into behavior which is "sick"-psychologically speaking. We know that the humanhood is the impulse behind all the crime in the world. I would have you know the humanhood impels people into such deep-seated narcissism and self-interest that anyone trying to arouse in such a mind any empathy or sympathy, is sadly blocked. No matter what topic may be raised, inevitably-such egotistical, narcissistic people draw the topic back to themselves-how it affects them, how it concerns them exclusively, positively or negatively. Absorbed self-interest is like a thick dense fabric of consciousness energies sealing off the minds of people of every strata of society in every part of the world. The degree of narcissism varies. Christ and many others tried so hard to make us aware of narcissism because such narcissistic people cannot live in harmony with other people as they are stubbornly incapable of hearing the TRUTH from others. This, as much as the crime, causes misery. Here is an allegory for you. Behold a child playing in a sticky mud pit, making pies, covering himself with mud, enjoying every minute. The mother comes, exhorting her child to come and bathe and get ready to go to a party. The child fiercely resists, crying. Eventually, the mother has her way and her child, freshly groomed with hair shining and clad in smart party clothes enters the hall where the party is being held. The child stares in astonishment. The glorious lights! The brilliant shrubs and flowers! The tables loaded with delicacies, cakes and jellies. And all the presents and games and fun the other children are having. The heart of the child is filled with radiant joy. Laughter begins to well-up and fill its entire being. This is so much better than the mud pit! All the washing and the scrubbing was worth it. How glad the child is that he listened.

What I don't quite understand is that Rupert says that a body is what a bundles of sensations looks like from a third party point of view through the senses. However when I look at my own throbbing foot I also see what could be called my own body, not a bundle of sensations. Apologies if I have explained my point inadequately...

The world is not observed, it is projected, it is not something that is "out there", I don't know how something so obvious is so difficult to understand.

But why should consciousness want to experience the world? How can the unqualified consciousness be desirous?

How can you ask consciousness a question? Doesn't any question address the mind only? Tomas is spot on when he says it is a tricky question and meaningless. Sadly, Rupert interrupts him and is not interested in his struggle but tells him to answer his question without referring to his thoughts and feelings. I don't think that is possible. We can sense and experience the limitlessness of consciousness in silence but as soon we communicate this, our mind, thoughts and feelings are engaged. Talking about limitlessness is indeed meaningless because talking happens within a limited mind that can't know what limitlessness means. It is something we can only experience beyond the mind but it can never be expressed accurately within the mind. It is not that Rupert is wrong, but he doesn't manage the student so he experiences the answer he is seeking. This is the difference between a brilliant teacher and a master. A master creates a situation that delivers the answer on a level beyond the mind. Even Rupert has still a lot to learn.

Sages of India, Middle East, Far East spent decades or multiple lifetimes to touch it. Wish all of them had Rupert to show them the _"ordinariness"_ of Enlightenment.

I imagine what it would be like to have been in Rupert's "I AM" class in grades 5, 6 & 7 at school. How much less confusion would I have suffered by now at 62 years old? How would my experiences, relationships & creations have differed? I have 5 wonderful adult children & 7 grand children, what impact would my changed trajectory have had on them? None of this intense self observing is of any use to the great majority of ordinary people just struggling to survive. What have you got to offer to them mr. Spira? Jesus healed the sick and spent time with the poor and the Holy Spirit over 2000 years has transformed people without all this navel gazing. The danger of self absorption seems huge with all this. You need more balance. This is spirituality for the privileged and very few.

How does a phenomenon ever do anything? Consciousness as a phenomenon of being, doesn't assume anything. It doesn't even create... The closest depiction is things happen because of its presence, in its presence
